About Me
I'm very passionate about synthesizers and exploring sound design using various types of synthesis including wavetable, subtractive, FM, addictive and granular. This includes a keen interest in both analogue and digital synthesizers across multiple formats including modular (east and west coast).
Some of my favourite musicians and inspirations include Noisia, Mefjus, Skrillex, Mick Gordon, Reso, Kavinsky and Koan Sound.
Games I love include: Hotline Miami, Ruiner, Dead Cells, Death Stranding, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 4, Burnout 3, God of War,
The Last of Us, Final Fantasy 15, SSX (2012)
Movies that inspire me: District 9, Blade Runner / Blade Runner 2049,
Children of Men, Isle of Dogs, John Wick, Beasts of No Nation, Ghost in The Shell, JoJo Rabbit, Spider-Man: Into The Spider Verse, Alien, Annihilation
TV shows: Westworld, Breaking Bad, Love Death & Robots, Game of Thrones,
The Walking Dead, Stranger Things, BoJack Horseman, Utopia, MR ROBOT, Sharp Objects
In my spare time I enjoy creating my own original electronic music under Broken Beats Inc and my label The Renegade Project Recordings, DJing, reading comic books and attending music based events.
Why choose Sour Cherry Audio Productions?
I believe what makes my approach to audio production unique is my creativity when it comes to using a combination of analogue hardware with cutting edge digital software.
I believe it's important to recognise the creative benefits of using analogue hardware alongside the modern conveniences of digital software - combine original field recordings with the complexity of a wavetable synthesizer or transform a warm analogue drum machine in to a tool of mechanical distortion.
I have always been focused on creating original patches and sequencing throughout my production process so the content I create create sounds modern, unique and emotionally engaging.
The games, movies or TV shows that truly inspire us take no shortcuts in the production process and so I never expect the easy solutions to be the most creatively engaging for creators and consumers.
